Gwenn
from Rennes has been living in Ireland since 1998. She is
a top notch triathlete and is personal trainer to the band.
She can also figure skate on roller skates, as demonstrated
by roller girl in 'Boogie Nights'.
She graduated
from the M.phil in Music and Media Technologies from Trinity
College Dublin in 2003 and from the 'Ceoltoir' Higher National
Diploma in Professional Traditional Music Performance in Dublin
in June 2001. She also taught traditional Breton music for
the same course in Donegal.
She presents
the French radio programme 'Ça Va' on the North Dublin
community radio NEARfm 101.6 every Saturdays where you can
delight your ears for half an hour of specially selected French
and Breton music.
Gwenn
joined De jimbé in 2001. Prior to coming to Ireland,
she played for six years with the group Beaj Iskis from Brittany.
She has a pronounced Breton accent.
Now living
in the West of Ireland, she practice her hobbies more than
ever which include swimming, seakayaking, windsurfing, surfing,
hill-running, cycling, cooking, sewing and scaring the neighbours
practising her beautiful fiddle playing.
